Position Summary

You will win new data center and hybrid infrastructure customers for VTG. You sell modernization end to end: compute, storage, networking, power and cooling refreshes, virtualization and cloud migrations, and the managed services that run the environment afterward. Every infrastructure deal should land a recurring services agreement behind it. This is a hunter role for an experienced seller who is comfortable opening new accounts and driving expansion and growth. The expectation is $2M in net new bookings over the first full 12 months in role following ramp. We are looking for a seller who brings established relationships and know-how in the data center and infrastructure market; direct segment experience is key, including a record of delivering technology solutions across network, data, compute and the hyperscalers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver $2M in net new bookings over the first full 12 months in role following ramp.
  • Prospect mid-market, enterprise, public sector and education organizations with aging or end-of-support data center infrastructure.
  • Self-source the majority of pipeline through outbound prospecting, OEM field relationships and industry networks, and maintain the coverage required to deliver the annual target.
  • Lead discovery on capacity, resilience, licensing cost and migration needs with infrastructure and operations leaders.
  • Shape refresh, consolidation, colocation, data center as a service, virtualization, hybrid cloud and hyperscaler (AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud) proposals across network, data and compute with pre-sales engineers.
  • Attach implementation, migration, managed infrastructure and support services to every hardware and software deal.
  • Expand each new account from the initial project into multi-year managed services and follow-on infrastructure programs.
  • Run full-cycle sales: prospecting, discovery, design reviews, quoting, proposals and close.
  • Keep every opportunity current in Salesforce: stage, next step, close date, amount, Lead Source and product category.

Minimum Requirements

  • 5+ years selling data center infrastructure or hybrid cloud solutions for an IT solutions provider or OEM.
  • A record of closing $250K+ infrastructure projects and converting them into multi-year managed services.
  • Proven experience delivering technology solutions across network, data, compute and hyperscaler (AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud) environments.
  • A proven hunter profile: consistent attainment of $2M+ annual net-new bookings quotas.
  • Established relationships with infrastructure and operations leaders and OEM field teams that you can activate from day one; direct data center segment experience is required.
  • Deep understanding of enterprise IT buying cycles and capital expenditure vs. operating expenditure (CapEx/OpEx) procurement models.
  • Proven ability to lead discovery sessions with CIOs, CTOs, and IT Infrastructure Directors.
  • Excellent presentation skills for articulating highly technical and complex solutions to both business and technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to coordinate seamlessly with pre-sales engineering and solution architecture teams.
  • Disciplined CRM habits and forecasting accuracy.

Preferred Requirements

  • Technical fluency across servers, storage, networking, virtualization platforms, power and cooling, and cloud migration.
  • Relevant industry sales certifications from major vendors (e.g., AWS, Azure, VMware, Cisco data center tracks).
  • Previous experience transitioning clients from legacy on-premises data centers to hybrid or public cloud environments.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business, or equivalent sales experience.

Voluntary Self-Identification of Disability
Voluntary Self-Identification of Disability Form CC-305
OMB Control Number 1250-0005
Expires 07/31/2029
Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had one. People can become disabled, so we need to ask this question at least every five years.

Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.
